Homeschooling Resources
Homeschooling in Wenatchee is thriving, with countless opportunities for families to learn, connect, and grow together. Whether you’re new to homeschooling or looking to expand your resources, the Valley offers a wide variety of co-ops, classes, and community support.
The Wenatchee Valley has a large and active homeschool community, making it one of the most supportive places in Washington to pursue alternative education. From faith-based co-ops to hybrid academies, nature schools, and enrichment programs, families can hand-pick the learning environment that best fits their needs. Beyond formal programs, many parents form their own co-ops, host classes, or offer specialized skills—from foreign language to outdoor exploration, so there’s truly something for everyone. And if you’re looking to connect right away, the Wenatchee Valley Homeschoolers Facebook group is a great place to start.

Hybrid and Enrichment Options
Cascade HomeLink
What? Cascade Home Link is an ALE (Alternative Learning Experience), which operates under the guidelines of the State of Washington and the Cascade School District. ALE Programs are defined as public schools where some (or all) of the instruction is delivered outside the parameters of a “regular classroom” setting, and/or schedule. Cascade Home Link teachers work alongside parents/guardians to help them build an individualized Student Learning Plan (SLP) that covers the traditional core subjects which will be taught at home (I.e., math, language arts, science, social studies). In turn, Cascade Home Link offers a flexible schedule of both outdoor and indoor enrichment classes to students who enroll. The outdoor Experiential Education class (EE) takes full advantage of the beautiful natural environment of Leavenworth. A few examples of recent EE units of study include botany, orienteering, wilderness first aid, PE, Leadership, and Ecology.
When? Monday through Thursday — Fridays are reserved for family field trips, administrative work, teacher prep time, and scheduled conferences. They follow the Cascade School District calendar for vacations, early releases, late starts, and winter school
closures.
